About Reiki
What is Reiki?
Healing
Reiki is a fast & effective therapy that can help with many health issues - physical, emotional, or mental. By balancing the electromagnetic energy in the body and replenishing it with the Universal energy, your body’s natural healing ability is supported and stimulated.
Holistic
During a reiki session, healing energy flows to wherever it is needed in the body, helping to support your natural recovery from a wide range of conditions, from depression & anxiety to tissue damage & wounds. This is a non-invasive and gentle process that helps to soothe pain and balance emotions.
Relaxing
My reiki sessions start with a short meditation to help relax you and slow down your mind & body to facilitate the healing process. Sessions are conducted fully clothed and can be hands-on or hands-off - whichever you are more comfortable with.
More about Reiki
Reiki is a traditional Japanese energy healing therapy and is now used worldwide. Its effectiveness has been recognised to such a degree that an increasing number of NHS hospitals are utilising it – some even have their own ‘in house’ reiki therapist.
Reiki (pronounced “Ray-Key”) means “universal” and “life force energy”. This energy is the electromagnetic energy found within your body and throughout the whole universe. During sessions, the practitioner channels the universal energy into the client to bolster and balance their energies. Whilst subtle, this energy is powerful and constantly impacts our living being.
Reiki works alongside and supports all other forms of healing. It can accelerate healing but isn’t necessarily an instant cure – deep-rooted conditions or severe illness/injury can still need time to heal.
Areas that reiki can help include (but are certainly not limited to):
Long-term illnesses (e.g., ME)
Recovery from operations or injuries
Skin conditions (e.g., eczema)
Anxiety & anxiety related disorders (e.g., OCD)
